How to Disable Burst When Using the Timer

By default, the iPhone Camera app takes a burst of 10 photos when using the timer. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable this feature completely, but here are two simple workarounds:

✅ Option 1: Enable Live Photo (Recommended)

With Live Photo turned on, your iPhone will capture just one moving image instead of 10 burst shots.

🔹 How to enable Live Photo:

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Tap the Live Photo icon (a circle in the top right corner).
  3. Set your timer and take the photo.

✅ Option 2: Use a Third-Party Camera App

Some apps allow you to take a single timed photo without Burst Mode. One great option is Camera+ 2, which gives you more control over the timer function.

💡 Tip: If you want to pick the best shot from a burst, you can do so in the Photos app by selecting "Keep Only 1 Favorite."
