Using the CamGuru app

With CamGuru, you can access your courses from your mobile device. Before you start, make sure you're using iOS 14 or later. Download CamGuru from either the App Store or from this link.

What can you do with the app?

1. Watch your Courses: Access your purchased courses instantly from your mobile device. Dive into comprehensive lessons and tutorials designed to elevate your skills.
2. Download Photos Used in Demonstrations: Follow along with the instructor by downloading the high-quality photos used in the demonstrations directly to your device.
3. Participate in the Community: Engage with other students by adding comments, asking questions, and participating in discussions related to your courses.
4. Access Assignments: Practice what you've learned by exploring the assignments section. The tasks provided are designed to reinforce the skills and techniques covered in the videos.
5. Quick Tips: Enhance your skills with daily free short videos offering quick tips and tricks. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, there's always something new to learn.
6. Photo Review: Upload your photos and let our AI analyze them, providing valuable insights to help you improve your photography skills. Receive personalized feedback and take your photography to the next level.
7. Purchase Courses: Explore our extensive library of courses and purchase new ones tailored to your interests. From beginner basics to advanced techniques, there's a course for every skill level and interest. Note: In-app purchases are processed through the App Store.
8. Track your Progress: Keep track of your learning journey with our progress tracking feature. Lessons are automatically marked as complete after watching, or you can manually mark them to track your own pace.
9. Achievements: Earn badges and recognition for your achievements within the app. From watching videos to adding comments and engaging with the community, your progress is celebrated and showcased in your profile.
10. Get Notifications and Update Settings: Stay informed and engaged with push notifications. Receive alerts about responses to your comments, updates on course activity, and exclusive discounts on courses.
11. Change Languages: Customize your experience by selecting your preferred language. This feature allows you to navigate and use the app in the language you're most comfortable with.

Watch your Courses

To watch your purchased courses, start by selecting the course from the main page. Then choose the module and lesson you'd like to view. While watching, you can navigate between lessons by tapping the Lessons tab below the video player, which allows you to go back to previous lessons or advance to later ones.

You can also tap the full-screen icon to watch the video in an immersive full-screen mode.

Download Photos Used in Demonstrations

Below the video player, you’ll see a Files tab. Click on this tab to access and download the high-quality photos used in the demonstrations. These images will be available directly on your device, allowing you to follow along with the instructor and practice the techniques shown.

Access Assignments

For videos with assignments, you’ll find a Projects tab available. Click on this tab to view the details of the assignment specific to that video, including what you need to complete and how to apply the concepts you've learned.

The compiled list of all assignments is available for download in the Files tab of the first video in each course.

Participate in the Community

To participate in the community, tap on the Comments tab located below the video player. This will take you to the discussion area where you can add your own comments, ask questions, and engage with other students taking the course. By joining the conversation, you can connect with fellow learners, share insights, and enhance your learning experience.

Quick Tips

To access the Quick Tips, tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top right corner and select "Quick Tips." To explore more tips, tap the grid icon located in the lower right corner of the screen.

Photo Review

To access Photo Review, tap the Photo Review icon in the top right. Then, tap the "Tap here to choose your photo" and select the photo you want to upload. Once selected, wait for the review to be completed.

Purchase Courses

To purchase a course, start by selecting a locked course you'd like to access. Tap the "Get Started" button, and then double-click the side button on your device to complete the payment. Note: Payments made through the app are processed through the App Store.

Track your Progress

To track your progress, tap the course you're working on, then select a module. A purple line below the thumbnail indicates how much progress you've made in that lesson. A green bar means the lesson is completed, while no bar indicates it hasn’t been accessed yet. To return to the previous menu, tap the "Courses" icon in the top left corner.

Achievements

To view your achievements, tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top right corner, then tap "See your profile" at the top. You’ll find all your achievements in the Achievements tab. To learn more about this feature, visit Achievements and How to Get Them.

Additionally, you can check your profile activity, such as when someone responds to a comment, by tapping the Activities tab.

Get Notifications and Update Settings

To manage your settings, go to the menu icon and tap "See Your Profile." Next, tap "Profile and Settings" to make changes. Here, you can update your photo and name, enable or disable notifications, and restore any previous in-app purchases that may not be showing up in the app.

Change Languages

To change the language, tap the globe icon in the top right corner and select your preferred language from the list.
